At Rentouttava Laine, you will find two spacious floatation tanks: Feathers (white) and Embrace of the Night (black). These safe and commonly used models in Finland allow you to float alone or with a partner. The tanks are 162 cm wide and 234 cm long internally, providing plenty of space for relaxation.
The floatation session lasts 60 minutes, with the entire experience lasting 90 minutes, including time for showering and aftercare. The service includes a towel, high-quality earplugs, and access to the Fööni room, where you can use a hairdryer as well as skin care and hair care products.
At Laine, hygiene is a priority: the tank water is filtered, and the rooms are cleaned between clients. You will receive personal guidance without the need to watch videos, and our staff is available for assistance during your floatation session if needed.
After your float, you can continue to relax in our lounge area while enjoying coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The lounge offers motorized beds, sofas, and recliners to ensure a complete recovery experience.

Couple Float (from €99) A 90-person experience where two people float together in the same float. The core moment of the float – 60 minutes of weightless peace – is experienced together, in deep silence or in quiet connection, according to your choice. After the float, you can enjoy high-quality coffee, tasty tea or velvety house cocoa in our Lounge.
The float room has been designed to be enjoyable down to the last detail: the Scandinavian wood paneling creates a harmonious and natural atmosphere, and mechanical ventilation ensures pleasant and oxygen-rich air throughout the experience. There is also a separate washroom with two showers at your disposal, which will make your pampering even more special. You can choose from two different atmospheres: the classic white Höyhen tank or the rarer, excellent black float tank Yön Syli.
The Night's Lap offers deep relaxation – without light it envelops you in the darkness of the pool, and with the lights, the multi-colored LED lighting creates a vivid, northern lights-like view on the tank ceiling. The atmosphere is set by a candle wall on the wall of the float room, providing warm light. The tank cover and lighting are controlled by yourself during the float. This is not just a moment of calm, but a luxurious shared experience where body and mind rest.

Buddy Float (from €118) Buddy Float includes a 90-minute relaxation float. In buddy float, you float in different float tanks, one white (Höyhen) and the other black (Yön Syli). In relaxation float, the actual stay in the relaxation tank lasts 60 minutes. The price includes good coffee, tea or homemade cocoa after the float in our Lounge.
The relaxation float tank has a self-operated lid. There is a multi-colored LED light inside. The lid and LED light are controlled from the float tank. The Yön Syli, or black float tank, is at least currently the only black float tank in Northern Finland. The black relaxation float tank has its own atmosphere. It is really dark without lights, and with lights on, the colors “dance” on the tank ceiling like the Northern Lights.
Deep relaxation (for one or two) (from €79) Deep relaxation includes approximately 25 minutes of Neurosonic vibration therapy and then you move on to a 60-minute relaxation float. The price includes good coffee, tea or tasty house cocoa after the float in our Lounge. Neurosonic is a Finnish innovation based on vibration. Neurosonic acts as a preparatory treatment before the float and deep relaxation becomes easier to achieve. The relaxation float tank has a manually operated lid. There is a multi-colored LED light inside. The lid and LED light are controlled from the float tank, so you decide how to control them.
The lap of the night, or black float tank, is at least currently the only black float tank in Northern Finland. The black relaxation float tank has its own atmosphere. It is really dark without the lights, and with the lights on, the colors “dance” on the tank ceiling like the Northern Lights. You can stay in our Lounge after your treatments for as long as you want.

Location and Parking
We are easy to reach, right in the heart of Oulu. We are close to Oulu railway station. In front of our premises on Kajaaninkatu there are 2-hour parking spaces for parking. Paid parking is available on the surrounding streets and you can use the paid parking roof of the Scandic hotel. The nearest bus stop is Rautatieasema E and line 63 runs past us. The Matkakeskus stops are also nearby, on lines A and C.
What I should know before floating?
It's easy to come to us, come as you are!
We provide towels, vegan and Finnish cleaning products, earplugs, and everything you need for floating. You can leave your swimsuit at home, the floating space is private, and relaxation is more complete without a swimsuit.We always guide our floaters through the floating experience, and you don't need to familiarize yourself with tutorial videos or know how to use the float tank.
We will introduce you to the world of relaxation before and after the float. We focus on pampering and little pleasures after floating, with good coffee, tasty tea, or the house's velvety hot chocolate.Please arrive about 10-15 minutes before your scheduled float time so that we can familiarize you.
The barriers to floating are hair that bleeds color or any other situation that could stain the floating water. If you have health-related questions about floating, please feel free to contact us, we will be happy to answer!
What are the benefits of relaxation floating or floating in general?

Couple floating takes place in the same floatation tank and the price includes two people. Our floatation tank's mechanical ventilation is designed for couple floating in the manufacturer's largest Vmax floatation tank (2,5 meters x 1,62 meters). The atmosphere and interior design are designed with relaxation in mind. Spacious floatation rooms, wood panel walls in Finnish style and an atmospheric candle wall are designed for couple floating. We also have many additional services for couples, for example, pampering couple relaxation or even couple floating + hot stone massage for two after couple floating.

What is your VIP-room?
The VIP room is a private room equipped like a hotel room, right next to our premises, for a relaxing moment after treatments. The VIP room has two motorized beds, a small kitchen and a private toilet. In the VIP room, you can relax in peace, even for two, enjoy post-treatment drinks and face masks.
Non-alcoholic sparkling wine is included in the pampering couples relaxation, but is always available to order in the VIP room
Can I have hard print Gift Card?
Yes, you can. You can come to our store at Kajaaninkatu 34. We also offer mailing option.
Afraid of claustrophobia, can I float?
We use the manufacturer's largest floatation tanks. The tanks are 2.5 meters in length and 1.62 meters wide. The size of the tank often surprises first-time users positively. The floats themselves control the lid of the relaxation floatation tank and it is very easy to use. The floater can decide whether the lid is open or closed and can always get out of the tank at any time. It is definitely worth trying.
Many of us bring up the experience of being in a tight spot and everyone who has gone to the tank has succeeded. If possible, floating with a loved one makes things even easier.
